# Get auto-optimization status

`GET /auto-optimization/status`

Auto-optimization status for a site, and optionally for one content piece. `auto_apply_types` and `auto_apply_confidence_threshold` are the EFFECTIVE policy: the site's own auto-apply settings already narrowed by the workspace policy (Content Guard). When a workspace policy is saved, the allowed types are the intersection of the site's and the workspace's, and the confidence threshold is the stricter of the two. `workspace_policy_applied` tells you whether a saved workspace policy contributed to these values (it may confirm rather than narrow them), so a site-level setting can be told apart from a workspace-governed one. The write side differs: POST /auto-optimization/toggle echoes the raw persisted site settings, not these effective values. An empty `auto_apply_types` means nothing is applied automatically and every suggestion waits for review.
