# Animate Segment Endpoint

`POST /segments/{segment_id}/animate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.framesail.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.framesail.com/segments/{segment_id}/animate`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Animate this segment in one click: flip it to a generated video shot
(keeping the rendered frame as the clip's first frame) and start the clip.
A refused generation (402/409/…) rolls the flip back.

## Path parameters

- `segment_id` string, required

## Request body

- AnimateSegmentRequest: One-click Animate: flip the segment to a generated video shot (carrying its rendered frame) and start the clip in the same request. A refused generation rolls the flip back. The prompt editor fields apply to the clip's render and are saved to its prompt editor, as on any generate.
