# Process Biometric Authentication

`PUT /ccr/v1/verifications/{verificationId}/confirmclient`

Use this endpoint to trigger processing of a Biometric Authentication case. <br /><br /><img src="https://files.readme.io/310d4d3-Inline_Caution.svg" align="left" alt="Important" /> **Important:** Before using this endpoint, see the <a href="https://docs.fourthline.com/docs/clientauth-integration-api">integration guide</a>. <br /><img src="https://files.readme.io/ad2486a-Inline_Note.svg" align="left" alt="Note" /> **Note:** Client Authentication has been renamed to Biometric Authentication. Biometric Authentication is supported in both v1 and v2 integrations.

- `verificationId` string, required

- `Authorization` string, required: The `access_token` returned in your most recent [Create access token](ref:create-access-token) response.
- `Content-Type` string

## Request body `application/x-www-form-urlencoded`

  - `Selfie` string, required: The client’s selfie photo. <br /><br />Format: Binary jpeg image
  - `SelfieVideo` string, required: The client’s selfie video. <br /><br />Format: Binary mp4 video file of less than 10 seconds with .mp4 file name extension
  - `CcrJson` DeviceMetaData, required: The metadata from the client’s device.

## Response `200`

Biometric authentication processed

  - `status` string: The [case status](https://docs.fourthline.com/docs/biometricauth-statuses).
  - `providerProcessId` string: Your unique identifier for the case.
  - `created` string: The timestamp for when <Glossary>case processing</Glossary> was triggered. <br /><br />Format: ISO 8601 UTC date and time

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `404`: Biometric authentication case not found
- `422`: The request could not be processed
