# POST /v1/mailboxes/{mailboxId}/trash/empty

`POST /v1/mailboxes/{mailboxId}/trash/empty`

## Request

- The document declares no server URL.
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `/authorize`, token URL `/oauth/token`, scopes: `email.write`)
  - HTTP bearer

Erase every thread in one mailbox's Trash now. There is no undo.

## Path parameters

- `mailboxId` string, required

## Response `200`

The request has succeeded.

- EmptiedTrash: What emptying the Trash erased.
  - `erased` integer, required: Threads erased — zero when the Trash was already empty.

## Other responses

- `401`: Access is unauthorized.
- `403`: Access is forbidden.
- `404`: The server cannot find the requested resource.
- `default`: An unexpected error response.
