# DELETE /v1/mailboxes/{mailboxId}/threads/{threadId}

`DELETE /v1/mailboxes/{mailboxId}/threads/{threadId}`

## Request

- The document declares no server URL.
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `/authorize`, token URL `/oauth/token`, scopes: `email.write`)
  - HTTP bearer

Delete a thread for good. It must already be in the Trash. There is no undo.

## Path parameters

- `mailboxId` string, required
- `threadId` string, required

## Response `204`

There is no content to send for this request, but the headers may be useful.

## Other responses

- `401`: Access is unauthorized.
- `403`: Access is forbidden.
- `404`: The server cannot find the requested resource.
- `409`: The request conflicts with the current state of the server.
- `default`: An unexpected error response.
