# Get outbound SMTP email limit

`GET /v1/emails/limit`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.forwardemail.net`
- URL: `https://api.forwardemail.net/v1/emails/limit`
- Auth: HTTP basic

Returns a JSON object with the `count` of outbound SMTP messages you sent today and today's `limit`. Outbound SMTP is unlimited, and the `limit` is your current reputation-based threshold (see <https://forwardemail.net/faq#what-are-your-outbound-smtp-limits>), which grows over time. Bounce notifications and auto-replies do not count.

## Response `200`

Email limit information

- EmailLimit
  - `count` integer: Outbound SMTP messages you sent today (UTC), not counting bounce notifications and auto-replies
  - `limit` integer: Today's reputation-based threshold (at most what is left of the domain's and the account's thresholds today; 0 when you cannot send from the domain)

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
