# List indices

`GET /indices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.forum.market/v1`
- URL: `https://api.forum.market/v1/indices`
- Auth: none required

Returns every Attention Index that is being updated and has published a value, with its display details, latest value and change over the past week, ordered by name.

## Response `200`

The indices.

- IndexSummary[]
  - `name` string, required: The index name, used by the other index endpoints.
  - `slug` string, required: The index's ticker, its name without `-IDX`; the Index Explorer page is `https://indices.forum.market/{slug}`.
  - `displayName` string, required
  - `category` string, nullable, required: The Index Explorer section the index is listed under, such as `tech`, `gaming`, `food` or `fashion`.
  - `shortDescription` string, nullable, required: What the index tracks, or null if it has no description yet.
  - `picture` string, uri, nullable, required: Image URL, or null.
  - `currentValue` number, nullable, required: The latest published Attention Index value (after EMA smoothing).
  - `changePercentPastWeek` number, nullable, required: Change since the first value published in the past 7 days, as a signed fraction (`0.05` is a 5% rise), or null without a value that old.

## Other responses

- `429`: Too many requests from this IP address. Public endpoints allow 400 requests per minute per IP.
