# Delete a template

`DELETE /templates/{templateId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://docs-api.formify.eu/v1`

- Auth: OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://docs-api.formify.eu/v1/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://docs-api.formify.eu/v1/oauth/token`, scopes: `write`)

Deletes the template and the files only it was using.

Documents already created from the template are unaffected. A PDF still used by a document or by
another template is left in place.

Owner only.

## Path parameters

- `templateId` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `errorLanguage` 'en' | 'sv' | 'es'

## Response `204`

Template deleted successfully. Empty body.

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized - Missing or invalid access token.
- `403`: Forbidden - not the owner, or the `templates` capability is missing.
- `404`: Template not found
- `500`: Internal server error
