# Add a webhook

`POST /v1/forms/{form_id}/webhooks`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.formcarry.com`

Adds a webhook that receives every submission as a JSON POST. The response carries the signing `secret` once; store it.

A form takes up to 10 webhooks (`webhook_limit_reached` past that) and one webhook per URL (`webhook_url_taken`).

To add webhooks, you need a plan that includes them.

  - `url` string, required: Where every submission is POSTed as JSON.
  - `enabled` boolean: A webhook that is off keeps its settings but receives nothing.
  - `description` string, nullable: A label for your own reference.
  - `events` string[]: What the webhook receives. Only submission.created exists today.

## Other responses

- `400`: The url is missing or not an http(s) URL, or an event is unknown.
- `401`: The request carried no usable key or token.
- `403`: The key is valid but may not add a webhook.
- `404`: No such form for this key.
- `409`: The form is at its limit, or another webhook already posts to this URL.
- `429`: Slow down and retry after the Retry-After header.
