# Create an account

`POST /auth/register`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://foresea.ink` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Create an email/password account and return a session token.

The email becomes the account ID. Passwords are stored as salted
PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 hashes; the plaintext is never persisted.

## Request body

- RegisterRequest: Email + password sign-up submitted by the browser.
  - `email` string, required: Account email address.
  - `password` string, required: At least 8 characters.
  - `name` string: Optional display name.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- SessionResponse: Issued after a successful Google sign-in.
  - `token` string, required
  - `user_id` string, required
  - `email` string, required
  - `name` string, required
  - `picture` string, required

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
