# Update an organization by id

`PUT /api/organizations/{id}`

This endpoint allows the client to update an existing organization.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

- Organization — Representation of an Organization

  - `name` string
  - `summary` string
  - `twitter_username` string
  - `github_username` string
  - `url` string
  - `location` string
  - `joined_at` string
