# Evaluate the deterministic decision engine. Side-effect free: never writes a decision event.

`GET /decisions/recommendation`

## Request

Returns one attention mode — ACT | RECOVER | VALIDATE | VERIFY | CHALLENGE | WAIT | ESCALATE — with the reasons and the inputs it used, plus engine_version and a state_fingerprint. Repeated GETs write nothing, even when the recommendation changes because the underlying state changed. An ACTIVE DENY or REQUIRE_APPROVAL policy takes precedence over every other rule. To adopt or reject a recommendation, POST /decisions.
