# Create Device

`POST /devices`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.fonestorm.com/v2`
- URL: `https://api.fonestorm.com/v2/devices`
- Auth: API key in header `token`

Add a new Device to an account.

## Request body

- object
  - `fonenumber` string: 10-digit Caller ID for device. Leave it blank if device type is Trunk Device. Otherwise REQUIRED
  - `name` string: Name/Label for device
  - `type` string, required: Device type
  - `mac_address` string: Macaddress of device. Leave it blank if device type is FracTELfone OR WebRTC Device. Otherwise REQUIRED
  - `speed_dial` string: 1 to 6 digit speed dial for device. Leave it blank if device type is Trunk Device. Otherwise REQUIRED
  - `call_recording` 'default' | 'yes' | 'no' | 'inbound' | 'outbound' | 'ondemand': Call recording setting for device
  - `e911location_id` string: ID of E911Location object
  - `areacode` string: 3-digit local area code for device
  - `timezone` string: Timezone for device. Default timezone is EST5EDT
  - `ring_simultaneously` string: 10-digit Phone number to ring simultaneously with device
  - `host_type` 'static' | 'dynamic': Host type for Trunk Device. REQUIRED if Device type is Trunk Device
  - `host_ip` string: Host IP for Trunk Device. REQUIRED if Host type is static
  - `host_port` number: Host Port for Trunk Device. REQUIRED if Host type is static
  - `timeout_service` object: Timeout Service for a Device.
    - `timeout_type` 'None' | 'Forward' | 'Voicemail' | 'Voice2Email': Timeout Service Type
    - `timeout_id` string: Timeout Service ID
    - `timeout_seconds` string: Timeout after specified seconds
    - `voice2email_greeting` string: Greeting for Service Type Voice2Email
  - `busy_service` object: Busy Service for a Device.
    - `busy_type` 'None' | 'Forward': Busy Service Type
    - `busy_id` string: Busy Service ID
  - `directory_settings` object: Directory Settings for a Device.
    - `first_name` string: Directory First Name
    - `last_name` string: Directory Last Name
    - `show` boolean: Show in Directory or not
    - `speed_dial` string: Directory Speed Dial
  - `forwardall_settings` object: ForwardAll Settings for a Device.
    - `phonenumber` string: ForwardAll Phonenumber
    - `start_time` string: ForwardAll Start Time
    - `end_time` string: ForwardAll End Time

    - `username` string: Unique identifier of device (12 digit number).
    - `name` string: Human-readable label used for device.
