# Create Auth Token

`POST /auth`

Create an authentication token to use for API requests.

## Request body

- object
  - `username` string, required: FracTEL username
  - `password` string, password, required: FracTEL password
  - `expires` integer: FracTEL Token Life Time in Seconds | Default is 3600 seconds | Maximum is 86400 seconds (24 hours)

## Response `201`

Created

  - `auth` Authorization
    - `token` string, required: JSON Web Token.

- `401`: Unauthorized
