# Update call region

`PATCH /channels/{channel_id}/call`

Changes the voice server region for an active call to optimise latency and connection quality.

## Path parameters

- `channel_id` union, required
  - string, snowflake
  - integer

## Request body

- CallUpdateBodySchema
  - `region` string, nullable — The preferred voice region for the call (1-64 characters). Omit or set to null for automatic region selection.
  - `latitude` string — Client latitude used for automatic region selection
  - `longitude` string — Client longitude used for automatic region selection

## Response `204`

No Content

- `400` — Bad Request - The request was malformed or contained invalid data
- `401` — Unauthorized - Authentication is required or the token is invalid
- `403` — Forbidden - You do not have permission to perform this action
- `429` — Too Many Requests - You are being rate limited
- `500` — Internal Server Error - An unexpected error occurred
