# Cancel handoff

`DELETE /auth/handoff/{code}`

Cancel an ongoing handoff session. The handoff code will no longer be valid for authentication.

## Path parameters

- `code` string, required

## Request body

- HandoffCancelRequest
  - `poll_secret` string, required — The poll secret issued when the handoff was initiated

## Response `204`

No Content

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - The request was malformed or contained invalid data
- `429` — Too Many Requests - You are being rate limited
- `500` — Internal Server Error - An unexpected error occurred
