# Add recipient to group DM

`PUT /channels/{channel_id}/recipients/{user_id}`

Adds a user to a group direct message channel. The requesting user must be a member of the group DM. Requires CAPTCHA verification.

## Path parameters

- `channel_id` union, required

- `user_id` union, required
  - string, snowflake
  - integer

## Response `204`

No Content

- `400` — Bad Request - The request was malformed or contained invalid data
