# Enable TOTP multi-factor authentication

`POST /users/@me/mfa/totp/enable`

Enable time-based one-time password (TOTP) MFA on the current account. Returns backup codes for account recovery. Requires sudo mode verification.

  - `secret` string, required — The TOTP secret key
  - `code` string, required — The TOTP verification code
  - `password` string
  - `mfa_method` 'totp' | 'webauthn' — MFA method to use for verification
  - `mfa_code` string — MFA verification code from an authenticator app
  - `webauthn_response` WebAuthnAuthenticationResponse
    - `id` string, required
    - `rawId` string, required
    - `type` 'public-key', required
    - `authenticatorAttachment` 'cross-platform' | 'platform'
    - `clientExtensionResults` object, required
