# Forgot password

`POST /auth/forgot`

Initiate password reset process by email. A password reset link will be sent to the user's email address. Requires CAPTCHA verification.

## Request body

- ForgotPasswordRequest
  - `email` string, email, required

## Response `204`

No Content

## Other responses

- `400` — Bad Request - The request was malformed or contained invalid data
- `429` — Too Many Requests - You are being rate limited
- `500` — Internal Server Error - An unexpected error occurred
