# Create or claim a fluidrecall.com mailbox

`POST /mailboxes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://fluidrecall.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://fluidrecall.com/api/v1/mailboxes`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP dpop

Write. address is a local-part or local@fluidrecall.com. Creates the mailbox for this token, or claims an unowned inbound row. Another account's address is 409. Seed Heidi with { "address": "heidi@fluidrecall.com", "displayName": "Heidi" }.

  - `displayName` string, nullable

## Response `200`

Mailbox plus created/claimed flags.

- `400`: Invalid address.
- `401`: Missing or wrong token.
- `409`: Address owned by another account.
