# Send from an owned mailbox

`POST /mailboxes/{mailboxId}/messages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://fluidrecall.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://fluidrecall.com/api/v1/mailboxes/{mailboxId}/messages`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP dpop

Write. Ask before sending. From is the owned mailbox. Recipients may be arbitrary addresses when Email Sending allows it. Requires to, subject, and text and/or html. Optional inReplyTo and references set threading headers.

## Response `201`

Stored outbound message, including bodies.

- `400`: Invalid body.
- `401`: Missing or wrong token.
- `404`: No mailbox with that id for this token.
- `503`: EMAIL send_email binding is not available.
