# Set Seat Limit

`PATCH /organizations/{org_id}/seat-limit`

Set the school's contracted seat count: {"seat_limit": 300} or null.

Platform staff only (`ADMIN_USER_IDS`). The limit is a term of the
school's contract with FluenTea, so the school reads it and does not set
it; an owner or admin gets the same 403 as anyone else. It is counted
against and never enforced: nothing here or anywhere refuses a join for
being over it (Nancy, 2026-09-11: "count, don't block").
