# Get Class Chat After Class

`GET /chatrooms/{room_name}/class-chat`

What was typed in this class's chat, for after the class: the school
page's "Links and messages from class" and the class report's "Chat from
this class".

Partner university, 19 Oct 2026: "quiero un link que pasó la maestra por
el chat". The chat was stored (`ChatroomChatMessage`) and nothing outside
the call showed it to a student. See `app.services.class_chat_service`.

Who may read is the saved board's rule (`_whiteboard_room`, asked of the
CLASS room): the section's members and staff, whoever was in it or invited.
The caller is the token's user; nothing names a user in the request. A
breakout's name resolves to its class. The class room's chat is always
included; a breakout's only for staff and for somebody who was in that
breakout. Private questions are never here (the report's Chat tab has them,
for staff).

`{room_name, messages: [{id, sender_name, text, links, image_url,
file_url, file_name, file_type, file_size, at, is_staff, is_chacha,
room_label, is_breakout}]}`, oldest first. A picture's or a file's URL is
signed afresh on every read (`class_chat_service.resign_chat_url`).
