# Create a brainstorm

`POST /v1/brainstorms`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.flowral.app`
- URL: `https://api.flowral.app/v1/brainstorms`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (client credentials, token URL `https://api.flowral.app/v1/oauth/token`, scopes: `flows:write`)

Creates a brainstorm and, optionally, its whole starting idea tree in one call. An idea's `parent` references another idea **by index in this request**, so a shape arrives with the board rather than in follow-up calls.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required
  - `ideas` object[]: Ideas to create, in order. Each: `{ title, notes?, parent?: index }`, where `parent` is an index into this same array — omit it for a root idea.

CREATED

- Brainstorm: A brainstorm with every idea on its board.
  - `id` string, required

  - `archived` boolean, required
  - `public` boolean: Whether this brainstorm is published — readable by anyone with its link, with no account.
  - `publicUrl` string, nullable: The published link, or null when private.
  - `ideaCount` integer
  - `createdAt` string, date-time
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time
  - `ideas` Idea[], required
    - `id` string, required
    - `brainstormId` string, required
    - `parentId` string, nullable: The idea this nests under, or null for a root idea.
    - `title` string, required

    - `assigneeId` string, nullable
    - `commentCount` integer
    - `fileCount` integer
    - `createdAt` string, date-time
