# Delete Leads

`DELETE /api/v1/campaigns/{campaign_id}/leads`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3009`

Permanently deletes leads and their step and reply history. **This cannot be undone.**

Deletion leaves no memory behind: re-adding the same address later enters the campaign fresh. To block an address for good, add it to the suppression list instead.

Up to 500 leads per call. `missing` counts ids that were already gone — a foreign id, or an earlier partial run — so a healing retry that deletes nothing new doesn't read as a failure. If some deletes fail the response is a 500 carrying the counts; retry the same ids to finish the job.

    - `missing` integer: Ids that were already gone — unknown to this campaign, or deleted by an earlier run

## Other responses

- `400`: No lead ids given, or more than 500
- `401`: Unauthorized — missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Forbidden. `code` says which permission refused: ROLE_FORBIDDEN (your role), INSUFFICIENT_SCOPE (the API key's scopes), WORKFLOW_FORBIDDEN (no access to the workflow), KEY_WORKFLOW_FORBIDDEN (the API key's workflow restriction).
- `404`: Campaign not found
- `429`: Too Many Requests — rate limit exceeded. Check `Retry-After` header for seconds until the limit resets.
- `500`: Some deletes failed — the rest are committed; retry the same ids to finish
