# Delete a segment

`DELETE /api/v1/ackdb/observe/segments/{id}`

Soft-deletes a Segment (sets deleted_at). Owner only (#284).

Segment soft-deleted.

- `403`: Caller is not the segment owner (#284).
- `404`: Segment not found.
