# List distinct values for a person field

`GET /api/v1/ackdb/observe/persons/fields/{key}/values`

## Request

Person-grain twin of GET /observe/companies/fields/{key}/values, served by the same shared resolver (so the console and the agent's `get_field_values` tool cannot diverge). Pickable here: `name`, a durable-key column (`idl__<type>`), or a string/string_array promoted event-metadata (`emf__`) column - i.e. exactly the fields whose descriptor carries distinctValuesUrl. There are no person traits, so a trait key is a 400. Pass ?search= for the picker's case-insensitive substring typeahead.

Distinct values for the field.

## Other responses

- `400`: Field has no value picker (no distinctValuesUrl), or is a trait key.
