# Soft-delete (disable) a contact

`DELETE /api/v1/ackdb/entities/{entityId}/contacts/{contactId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3009`
- URL: `http://localhost:3009/api/v1/ackdb/entities/{entityId}/contacts/{contactId}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sets status = disabled. The row, its links, traits and events all stay. For a genuine mis-attachment use `POST /contacts/{contactId}/move` (fix it) or `DELETE /contacts/{contactId}` (hard delete).

## Response `204`

Contact disabled.

## Other responses

- `404`: Contact not found.
