# Permanently purge the archived copy (the tombstone stays)

`DELETE /api/v1/ackdb/deletions/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3009`
- URL: `http://localhost:3009/api/v1/ackdb/deletions/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Destroys the archived rows and their file blobs for good. The header survives as the audit record, and **the tombstone stays ACTIVE** — destroying the copy is not permission to re-create the record. To allow that, lift the tombstone separately.

`status` flips to `purged` only from `deleted`; a RESTORED entry keeps `status: restored` (its rows are live, and calling that state 'purged' would read as 'the record is gone').

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Purged. Reports the rows and blobs destroyed.

## Other responses

- `404`: `DELETION_NOT_FOUND`.
