# Read one contact by exact ID

`GET /api/v1/ackdb/contacts/{contactId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3009`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns one affiliation by its exact ackDB contact ID, hydrated with identity links, traits/attributes, compact company provenance, and the person's other affiliations. This is status-agnostic: retained former and disabled contacts remain directly addressable. The response includes an exact-tier `matchedOn` block for the contact ID.
