# Delete a custom attribute

`DELETE /api/v1/ackdb/attributes/{key}`

## Request

Custom attributes only. Atomically removes the definition, ALL its value rows, segment-filter references (scrubbed, not bricked), and its label override.

## Other responses

- `403`: ATTRIBUTE_PROTECTED — standard attributes are shipped by ackDB and cannot be deleted.
