# Change a member's role

`PATCH /team/members/{userId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.flogpt.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.flogpt.com/api/v1/team/members/{userId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

The owner's row cannot be changed and `owner` cannot be assigned —
ownership carries billing and lives on a different field.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is invalid.
- `404`: The resource does not exist in the API key's organization.
