# Uploading images of a vehicle.

`POST /devices/{deviceId}/images`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.flocksafety.com/api/v3`
- URL: `https://api.flocksafety.com/api/v3/devices/{deviceId}/images`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Uploads images of a vehicle that will be ingested and processed. The total size of the main vehicle image and all of the context images must not exceed 9 MB. File size is calculated in binary mb (MB), where 1 MB is 1048576 bytes.

## Path parameters

- `deviceId` string, required

## Request body `multipart/form-data`

- ImageUpload
  - `image` string, binary, required: The image to ingest and process into FlockOS.
  - `contextImages` string[]: Additional context images to be ingested. These images will not be processed but will be viewable alongside the main image
  - `capturedAt` string, date-time: The timestamp (in RFC3339 UTC format) indicating when the image was captured.
  - `latitude` number, float: The latitude of the location where the images were captured.
  - `longitude` number, float: The longitude of the location where the images were captured.

## Response `204`

The image was successfully ingested.

## Other responses

- `400`: The given request contains one or more errors.
- `401`: The provided token is either expired or invalid.
- `404`: The given device ID was not found.
- `413`: The total size of all the images uploaded exceeds 9 MiB. Total file sizes: 13 MiB
- `429`: The maximum number of requests per second has been exceeded.
- `500`: An internal error happened when processing the request.
