# Get static information for an operator.

`GET /operators/{id}`

## Request

Returns information for an operator such as their name, ICAO/IATA
codes, headquarter location, etc.

  - `icao` string, nullable, required: The operator's ICAO code.
  - `iata` string, nullable, required: The operator's IATA code.
  - `callsign` string, nullable, required: The operator's ICAO telephony name (callsign) used with air traffic control.
  - `name` string, required: The operator's name. Typically the legal business name.
  - `country` string, nullable, required: Country where operator is headquartered.
  - `location` string, nullable, required: Potentially a more specific location where the operator is based. May specify city, state, province, etc.
  - `phone` string, nullable, required: Public phone number for the operator.
  - `shortname` string, nullable, required: Shorter version of the operator's name. Typically the "doing business as" name, when different than "name."
  - `url` string, nullable, required: URL of operator's website.
  - `wiki_url` string, nullable, required: URL of operator's Wikipedia page.
  - `alternatives` object[]: An array of other possible operator matches
    - `icao` string, nullable, required: The operator's ICAO code.
    - `iata` string, nullable, required: The operator's IATA code.
    - `callsign` string, nullable, required: The operator's ICAO telephony name (callsign) used with air traffic control.
    - `name` string, required: The operator's name. Typically the legal business name.
    - `country` string, nullable, required: Country where operator is headquartered.

## Other responses

- `400`: Incorrect parameter (id). Id must be a valid operator code and cannot be empty.
- `404`: No such operator exists.
