# Create Axle Configuration

`POST /axle_configs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://secure.fleetio.com/api`
- URL: `https://secure.fleetio.com/api/axle_configs`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization` and API key in header `Account-Token`

Creates a new Axle Configuration.

## Request body

- object
  - `vehicle_id` integer, required
  - `axle_config_template_id` integer, required: The id of a standard Axle Config Template. A custom template id returns a 422.
  - `with_installed_tires` boolean: If true, then the Axle Configuration will have a generic tire installed at each Tire Position
  - `axles_count` integer: Only relevant for 'Multi-Axle' Trailer Axle Configurations where the number of Axles is not known.

## Response `201`

OK

## Other responses

- `401`: Request could not be authenticated
- `403`: Insufficient permission to perform this operation
- `422`: Unprocessable Entity
