# Get a list of all companies

`GET /v3/companies-list`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.fiscal.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.fiscal.ai/v3/companies-list`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `apiKey`

Lists companies along with their descriptors — display and legal names, sector and industry classification, headquarters and legal domicile, the embedded `primaryListing`, market cap, key identifiers (company & security fiscal identifiers, CIK, and licensed CUSIP/ISIN/FIGI), reporting template, and the datasets available for each company. By default only companies with API-enabled data are returned; pass `allCompanies=true` for the full universe. Results are server-paginated (`pagination.totalCount` reflects the selected set); `updatedAt` and `earningsFilingDate` are always served live. Pass `compact=true` for a reduced payload. Free-plan keys receive only the free-plan companies (a single page), in either shape.

## Query parameters

- `apiKey` string: API Key (alternatively send via X-Api-Key header)
- `pageNumber` integer: Page number (1-indexed)
- `compact` boolean: Return a slimmer row: fewer descriptive fields, all identifiers retained. Defaults to false (full shape). Available on every plan.
- `allCompanies` boolean: Set true to include the full ~55,000-company universe. Defaults to false — only companies with API-enabled data. Not available on the free plan.

A paginated array of companies with their descriptors and identifiers.

      - `figiComposite` string: Country-level composite FIGI of the security (the FIGI most databases store).
      - `figiShareClass` string: Global share-class FIGI of the security.
    - `reportingCurrency` string: Company reporting currency (ISO 4217)
    - `updatedAt` integer: Company's last data change (Unix seconds). Injected live, never cached.
    - `earningsFilingDate` string: Latest earnings filing date (YYYY-MM-DDTHH:mm:ss[Z]). Injected live.
    - `availableDatasets` string[], required
