# Get company news summary

`GET /v1/company/news-summary`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.fiscal.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.fiscal.ai/v1/company/news-summary`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `apiKey`

Returns a short summary of the company's most important recent news, regenerated daily. The summary is empty for a company with no collected news. Responds 404 when the company has news but none of it qualifies for a summary.

## Query parameters

- `apiKey` string: API Key (alternatively send via X-Api-Key header)
- `ticker` string: Company ticker, use with mic or alone for US tickers
- `micCode` string: Company MIC, use with ticker
- `exchange` string: Company exchange code, use with ticker
- `companyKey` string: Company key (alternative to ticker/micCode/exchange)
- `cusip` string: Requires CUSIP/ISIN license. An alternative to ticker/micCode/exchange. Company CUSIP
- `isin` string: Requires CUSIP/ISIN license. An alternative to ticker/micCode/exchange. Company ISIN
- `figi` string: FIGI (Financial Instrument Global Identifier). An alternative to ticker/micCode/exchange.
- `cik` string: Company CIK (SEC Central Index Key). An alternative to ticker/micCode/exchange.
- `fscl` string: Fiscal.ai stable company identifier (the companyFiscalIdentifier field). An alternative to ticker/micCode/exchange.

## Response `200`

The company's current news summary.

  - `summary` string, required: Markdown summary of the company's most important recent news. Empty for a company with no collected news.
  - `dateApplicableStart` string: UTC date of the oldest news item the summary covers. Absent when the summary is empty.
  - `dateApplicableEnd` string: UTC date of the newest news item the summary covers. Absent when the summary is empty.
  - `generatedAt` string: UTC timestamp when the summary was generated. Summaries regenerate daily. Absent when the summary is empty.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Forbidden
- `404`: Not Found
