# Endpoint to destroy user data

`DELETE /v1/data/destroy`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://demo.firefly-iii.org/api`
- URL: `https://demo.firefly-iii.org/api/v1/data/destroy`
- Auth: one of:
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://demo.firefly-iii.org/oauth/authorize`
    - Token URL: `https://demo.firefly-iii.org/oauth/token`
  - HTTP bearer

A call to this endpoint deletes the requested data type. Use it with care and always with user permission.
The demo user is incapable of using this endpoint.

## Headers

- `X-Trace-Id` string, uuid

## Response `204`

Empty response when data has been destroyed.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthenticated
- `404`: Page not found
- `500`: Internal exception
