# Get the primary currency of the current administration.

`GET /v1/currencies/primary`

## Request

  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://demo.firefly-iii.org/oauth/authorize`

  - HTTP bearer

Get the primary currency of the current administration. This replaces what was called "the user's default currency" although they are essentially the same.

The primary currency

    - `type` string, string, required: Immutable value
    - `id` string, string, required
    - `attributes` CurrencyProperties, required
      - `created_at` string, date-time
      - `updated_at` string, date-time
      - `enabled` boolean: Defaults to true
      - `primary` boolean: Is the primary currency?
      - `code` string, string, required
      - `name` string, string, required
      - `symbol` string, string, required
      - `decimal_places` integer: Supports 0-16 decimals.

- `400`: Bad request
- `401`: Unauthenticated
- `404`: Page not found
- `500`: Internal exception
