# Count transactions matching the given filters.

`GET /v1/search/transactions/count`

Returns the number of transactions that match the given meta-field filters. This is useful to check for
existing transactions (for example to avoid duplicates) before storing new data.

## Query parameters

- `external_identifier` string
- `internal_reference` string
- `notes` string
- `description` string
- `include_deleted` boolean

## Headers

- `X-Trace-Id` string, uuid

## Response `200`

The number of matching transactions.
