# Add a new validation key

`POST /key_link/validation_keys`

Adds a new validation key used to validate signing keys. The new validation key will undergo an approval process by the workspace quorum.

- CreateValidationKeyDto
  - `publicKeyPem` string, required: The PEM encoded public key of the validation key being added
  - `daysTillExpired` number, required: The number of days from the date the validation key was added until it expires

## Response `201`

The validation key that was added and is pending approval.

  - `validationKey` ValidationKeyDto, required
    - `keyId` string, required: External validation key id set by Fireblocks.
    - `publicKeyPem` string, required: PEM encoded public key used for the validation.
    - `daysTillExpired` number, required
    - `enabled` boolean, required: True if the validation key is enabled.
    - `createdAt` number, required: Creation date (timestamp) in milliseconds.
    - `expirationTime` number, required: Expiration date (Unix timestamp) in milliseconds.
    - `revoked` boolean, required: True if the validation key is revoked.
  - `admins` string[], required: Admins who have to approve the validation key addition
  - `approvalThreshold` number, required: Minimal number of approvers required. 0 for all
  - `requestId` number, required: Approval request id. Can be cancelled
