# Get an article's full text

`GET /news/article/{id}/full-text`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://studio.fintechstudios.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://studio.fintechstudios.com/api/v1/news/article/{id}/full-text`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Returns the full body text of a single news article. Charged at 1.5x a standard FTS API call, and only when text is actually returned — a 404 (no full text available, e.g. paywalled or not yet processed) and transient upstream failures are not billed.

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Invalid API key
- `402`: Insufficient credits
- `404`: No full text available for this article — not billed
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded — honor the Retry-After header
- `503`: Upstream news service temporarily unavailable — retryable, not billed
