# Issue a free sandbox API key

`POST /v1/keys/sandbox`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.finology.tech` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.finology.tech/v1/keys/sandbox`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Mints a Sandbox-tier key for the supplied email address, valid 30 days and capped at 25 calls/month, usable on this API and on the MCP server at mcp.finology.tech/mcp. The key is returned once and cannot be recovered. Requesting again for the same address revokes the previous key.
