# Social Sentiment

`GET /stock/social-sentiment`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://finnhub.io/api/v1`
- URL: `https://finnhub.io/api/v1/stock/social-sentiment`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `token`

Get social sentiment for stocks on Reddit and Twitter.

## Query parameters

- `symbol` string, required
- `from` string, date
- `to` string, date

## Response `200`

successful operation

- SocialSentiment
  - `symbol` string: Company symbol.
  - `data` SentimentContent[]: Sentiment data.
    - `mention` integer: Number of mentions
    - `positiveMention` integer: Number of positive mentions
    - `negativeMention` integer: Number of negative mentions
    - `positiveScore` number, float: Positive score. Range 0-1
    - `negativeScore` number, float: Negative score. Range 0-1
    - `score` number, float: Final score. Range: -1 to 1 with 1 is very positive and -1 is very negative
    - `atTime` string: Period.
