# Market Status

`GET /stock/market-status`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://finnhub.io/api/v1`
- URL: `https://finnhub.io/api/v1/stock/market-status`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `token`

Get current market status for global exchanges (whether exchanges are open or close).

## Query parameters

- `exchange` string, required

## Response `200`

successful operation

- MarketStatus
  - `exchange` string: Exchange.
  - `timezone` string: Timezone.
  - `session` string: Market session. Can be 1 of the following values: <code>pre-market</code>,<code>regular</code>,<code>post-market</code> or <code>null</code> if the market is closed.
  - `holiday` string: Holiday event.
  - `isOpen` boolean: Whether the market is open at the moment.
  - `t` integer: Current timestamp.
