# Indices Historical Constituents

`GET /index/historical-constituents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://finnhub.io/api/v1`
- URL: `https://finnhub.io/api/v1/index/historical-constituents`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `token`

Get full history of index's constituents including symbols and dates of joining and leaving the Index. A list of supported indices for this endpoint can be found <a href="/api/v1/index/historical-list?token=" target="_blank">here</a>.

## Query parameters

- `symbol` string, required

## Response `200`

- IndicesHistoricalConstituents
  - `symbol` string: Index's symbol.
  - `historicalConstituents` IndexHistoricalConstituent[]: Array of historical constituents.
    - `symbol` string: Symbol
    - `action` string: <code>add</code> or <code>remove</code>.
    - `date` string, date: Date of joining or leaving the index.
