# Provision a generated-app runtime member with a role

`POST /api/mcp/tools/invite_app_member`

## Request

Provision a generated-app runtime member with a role. This does not create a Studio collaborator, and the owner role cannot be assigned. password is required: ask the account owner which password the member should get. This tool never generates one, because a generated password would come back in the result and that is a live credential in the conversation transcript.

## Request body

  - `app_id` string, required: The app ID
  - `email` string, required: Member email
  - `role` string, required: App role, e.g. admin/staff/customer
  - `full_name` string
  - `password` string, required: The password this member signs in with, chosen by the account owner. Required, and never echoed back in the result.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid arguments for this tool
- `401`: Missing or invalid bearer token
- `402`: Not enough credits on the account

- `500`: Internal error while executing the tool
