# Add Company to Watchlist

`POST /watchlist/companies/`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.financialreports.eu`
- URL: `https://api.financialreports.eu/watchlist/companies/`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

**Access Level Required:** Requires **Standard Access (Level 1)**.

Adds a specified company to the authenticated user's watchlist.

## Request body

- WatchlistAction
  - `company_id` integer, required: The unique identifier of the company to add or remove from the watchlist.

## Response `201`

Company successfully added to the watchlist.

- WatchlistResponse
  - `status` string, required: Indicates the status of the operation (e.g., 'success', 'error').
  - `message` string, required: A human-readable message describing the outcome.
  - `company_id` integer: The ID of the company related to the action, if applicable.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request. The company may already be in the watchlist or the input was invalid.
- `401`: Authentication credentials were not provided or are invalid.
- `403`: Forbidden. The watchlist is locked by an administrator.
- `429`: Rate limit, plan quota or spend cap reached.
