# Find an investor's CIK by name (discovery)

`GET /institutional-holdings/investors`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.financialdatasets.ai`
- URL: `https://api.financialdatasets.ai/institutional-holdings/investors`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-KEY`

Returns up to 100 distinct institutional filers (CIK + name). Use the optional `name` parameter for case-insensitive prefix search. No API key required.

  - `resource` string
  - `investors` InstitutionalInvestor[]
    - `cik` string: The 10-digit zero-padded SEC CIK of the institutional filer.
    - `name` string: The filer's name as reported on its most recent 13F filing.
