# Update a tax table by id

`PATCH /v1/tax-table/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.finalpos.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.finalpos.com/v1/tax-table/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Updates an existing tax table at `PUT /tax-table/:id`, scoped to your API key.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- TaxTableUpdateDto
  - `source` string: Source of the tax table.
  - `externalId` string: External provider id for the tax table (e.g. the QuickBooks TaxCode Id). Integration correlation key.
  - `name` string: Name of the tax table.
  - `slug` string: Slug identifier for the tax table.
  - `taxRates` object[]: Tax rates applied to the tax table.
  - `isStandard` boolean: Whether this is the standard tax table.

## Response `200`

The tax table has been successfully updated.

  - `id` string: Unique identifier for the TaxTable.
  - `createdAt` string, date-time: Timestamp when the TaxTable was created.
  - `updatedAt` string, date-time: Timestamp when the TaxTable was last updated.
  - `companyId` string: Company ID associated with the TaxTable.
  - `source` string: Source of the tax table.
  - `externalId` string: External provider id for the tax table (e.g. the QuickBooks TaxCode Id). Integration correlation key.
  - `name` string: Name of the tax table.
  - `slug` string: Slug identifier for the tax table.
  - `taxRates` object[]: Tax rates applied to the tax table.
  - `isStandard` boolean: Whether this is the standard tax table.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request. Returns validation errors or other request-related errors.
- `404`: The resource was not found.
